About Us
WODS Musical Theatre Company return to The Blakehay Theatre this autumn with their highly anticipated production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s masterpiece, EVITA.
Director Blair Ruddick has assembled the same creative team that brought Weston audiences "Hot Mikado", "Doctor Dolittle", "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" and "Oh What a Lovely War" (to mention just a few productions), and is pulling out all the stops for this fabulous musical loved by all generations.
In the title role the multi-award winning performer Natasha Green is EVITA! Natasha is set to take up the challenge of playing Evita and will be chronicling the life of Eva from her poor upbringing, to her meteoric rise to fame, set to the backdrop of unrest and revolution in Argentina. Supported by an incredible cast including Nick Uttley as Che Guevara, Dylan Cheasley as Juan Perón, Scott Riney as Magaldi and Stephanie Reeves as Perón’s Mistress, EVITA will be like no event the Blakehay has ever seen before.
With an unbelievable score and hit songs such as ‘Oh What a Circus’, ‘On This Night of a Thousand Stars’, ‘Another Suitcase in Another Hall’, ‘High Flying, Adored’, ‘Rainbow High’, ‘You Must Love Me’ and the sensational ’Don't Cry for Me Argentina’, all played live on stage under the expertise of Musical Director, Richard Lennox – EVITA will be a theatrical event not to be missed!
