Catch a bus to Burnham to see the country's shortest pier and quirky lighthouse
If you want to go to Burnham to see the country's shortest pier or its quirky lighthouse you will want the number 20 bus which goes via Brean and the Brean Splash centre. From April 6, 2025, here's the timetable you will require to go on the Number 20 service to Burnham via Weston Hospital, Uphill, Lympsham, Berrow, Brean Leisure Park and Burnham.
Buses to Bristol
For passengers fancying a day out exploring Bristol, here's the bus timetable for the X1 service from Weston to Bristol via Congresbury, Worle, Cleeve and Backwell from April 6, 2025.
Portishead and Clevedon by bus
From April 6, 2025 there are big changes to the service. To provide more direct and faster services, the X5 will be re-routed between Clevedon and Worle via the M5 motorway, thereby bypassing Yatton, Cleeve and Congresbury. Here's the new X5 timetable serving Weston-super-Mare, Clevedon and Portishead which runs from April 6, 2025.
From April 6, 2025 there is also an X11 service connecting Weston-super-Mare with Clevedon via Congresbury, Yatton and Claverham.
Catch the bus to Weston Helicopter Museum
To get to Weston's Helicopter Museum you will want the 125 for the Helicopter Museum, Locking, Sandford, Churchill and Academy and Wrington from September 2, 2024 until further notice. This service is unaffected by the April 2025 timetable changes.
Another service that is useful for the Helicopter Museum is the 51 service will take you from Weston-super-Mare to Wrington taking in Haywards Village, Locking Parklands, Winscombe, Sandford, Churchill and Langford. This service has been unnaffected by the 2025 timetable changes. Another excellent service for the Helicopter Museum is the 126.
Enjoy a bus day out to Wells or Cheddar
From April 6, 2025, there will be significant changes on this 126 Weston to Wells Route via the Helicopter Museum, Cheddar, Axbridge and Sandford. Buses will now run through Banwell via the A371, Hutton Moor and Locking Road instead of via Hutton Moor and Locking Road. Hutton will now be served by the new 7H service serving Worle, Weston, Uphill, Weston Hospital, Bleadon Hill, Hutton, Haywood Village and Locking Parklands.
Here is the timetable for the new 7, 7B and 7H service serving Worle, Hutton, Bleadon Hill, Uphill, Weston Hospital and Weston, Locking Parklands and Haywood Village. It's valid from April 6, 2025.
Buses to the zoo and Tyntesfield National Trust
If you want to go to Noah's Ark Zoo Farm or Tyntesfield House you will need to catch two buses. You will need the X5 to Clevedon where you will change onto the X6 service from Clevedon to Bristol These times are valid from April 6, 2025.
For people living or staying in Clevedon there's also the X7 service from Clevedon to Bistol via Nailsea. This route does not go through Failand so passengers wanting Noah's Ark and Tyntesfield should take the X6 instead. This is the X7 timetable from April 6, 2025.
Nightbus
From April 6, 2025 there is a nightbus connecting Weston-super-Mare, Clevedon and Bristol. The X14 will have two departures from Bristol Bus Station on Friday and Saturday nights at So if you're a night owl looking to get back from Bristol on the X14 nightbus from Bristol to Portishead, Clevedon or Weston-super-Mare this one is for you.
Airport Bus
If you are heading for foreign shores, you will want the new A3 Weston to Bristol Airport route taking in Worle, Worle station, Congesbury and Cleeve which is valid from April 6, 2025.
Weston Town, Hospital and Uphill bus services
If you are buzzing around town. The Number 6 Weston to Worle service is a useful route. From April 6, 2025 this the timetable for that Number 6 Weston to Worle service via Mead Vale, Worle High Street and Upper Bristol Road.
Buses from Weston town centre to Weston Woods
If you fancy a walk through Weston/Worlebury Woods you can take the number nine bus from Weston town centre to Worlebury Woods and Worle using this timetable which is valid from April 6, 2025.
On-Demand WESTlink Buses
There is also the new on-demand WESTlink bus service which has been operating from April 2023. To find out more about this WESTlink service click here.
The bright green buses are available to book by an app, website or phone and will be part of the largest on-demand bus scheme in the UK, reconnecting communities and offering many people who are currently without a local service the opportunity to get back on the bus. As part of the trial period, the buses will cost £2 per adult, £1 per child, and concessionary bus passes are accepted. These prices will then be charged at standard commercial service costs, in line with Government guidelines from July. The service will run Monday to Saturday 7am – 7pm. There will not be a service on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Areas currently covered include some of Weston, Nailsea, Clevedon, Portishead, Bristol Airport and Chew Valley.
