"The friendly people of Weston are great"
"Sitting at the beach watching the tides and the sunset is great. Shame that my favourite cafe has no sea view, but if you want great service, a nice atmosphere and lovely food and great coffee you should go to The Bay in the Tropicana on the sea front..."
"Uphill beach, boatyard and nature walk, absolutely BEAUTIFUL and well worth a visit with the doggo or children/grandchildren, also a beautifully kept touring caravan and camping site at the beginning of the nature walk. There's also lovely restaurants and cafes as well as being close for daytrips to Cheddar Gorge, Wookey hole whilst still staying in Weston!"
"The people; I love Westonians. They’re a passionate bunch. Mind you, the sunsets don’t hurt much either..."
...The ride on coaster open top buses from Sand Bay to Weston-super-Mare and on to Burnham-on-Sea, my grandchildren loved it..."
"Having travelled the country for work for many years and visited many seaside towns, I can honestly say that Weston is and always has been one of the best kept towns! I first came here when I was 10 years old with my sister and loved it then. I then came back in 1965, to RAF Locking and met my wife Jan, in The Captains Cabin, in 1966. We married in 1968 and travelled about the country and abroad with the RAF. Then we returned to Weston in 1978 to RAF Locking and bought our first house in Worle. When I left the RAF in 1986 we moved to New York for three years, but when we returned we came back to Weston and bought our next house in North Worle. I am sure that we will see our years out in this lovely town!!!"
" A lovely wide safe promenade to walk along and several beautiful parks within walking distance from town centre. Also lots of outside cafes along the seafront"
"This is a dog-friendly town. Long romantic walks at sunset on the beach, woodland, hillsides, followed by dinner at any dog-friendly establishments and cafes. You'll soon be back in the good books for all the hard days you were apart whilst you had to earn a living. Why holiday without your best friend?"
Weston-super-Mare is a quintessential English seaside resort; I started visiting and holidaying in Weston-super-Mare from 1989 onwards, I moved here in 1998. Weston-super-Mare with its lovely sandy beaches, promenade, theatres, Winter Gardens, Grand Pier, Marine Lake, Anchor Head, cafés, bars and restaurants plus some interesting independent shops alongside High Street names, is a super place. Weston Museum is a great place for a visit, as well as the RNLI station and souvenir shop. As well as being a great seaside resort, Weston-super-Mare is also near Clevedon with its Grade 1 listed pier, Portishead with its Marina, the cities of Bristol and Bath, Cheddar, Wells with its Cathedral, Glastonbury, Brean and Burnham-on-Sea. Weston-super-Mare is easily accessible by Rail, road and air.I like Weston-super-Mare very much and even have Weston tattoo!
"I love everything about Weston-super-Mare, memories of walking along the seafront as children with my Mum & Dad, brother & sister, staying in a holiday flat - I remember one called Sea Breeze. I was obsessed with The Rock (Steep Holm) my Brother still calls it Tracy's Rock. As an adult I still take my children who love it too; nothing better than sitting on the sand by The Grand Pier eating fish & chips listening to the seagulls"
"Lots of good pubs and nice parks as well. Grove Park being my fave' and Grove Village has got most things you need; close to the beach as well and the lovely long, flat promenade"
"I have many happy memories of day trips here as a child with my Mum and Dad
It's a place that will lift your spirts, from the amazing sunsets, the walks along the lake and seafront to the fabulous restaurants and coffee shops, there is something for everyone on the Pier or the Museum.
Weston-super-mare is wonderful"
"I moved to Weston from Oxford 4 years ago - best move I've ever made! Fresh sea air, pier, beaches, shops and fab places to eat, firework displays throughout the year, air show, parks to walk in, beautiful buildings, regeneration of Dolphin Square. Weston is fab!"
"I am six and I moved when I was five. I like living in Weston because every day I can walk on the seafront to school and I can see our beautiful beach. I like our beach because it has soft sand and is clean. I have been to Noah's Ark Zoo, Clip 'n Climb and Wookey Hole. I wasn't scared when I went on the Sky View because I could see a long way. Weston is the best!"
