Weston Brass will be remembering the 80th anniversary of D-Day in support of the Royal British Legion with an evening of music, song and story. Using first-hand accounts of those who were there, narrator and former BBC Radio Bristol presenter Emma Britton will lead you through a musical journey telling the story of D-Day…
ACT 1: The Final Days Before D-Day remembering the preparations for D-Day, the atmosphere in the lead up to the day, the American influence and the voyage across the channel.
Act 2: Battle, Lament & Liberation relives the drama of the landings and reflects on the aftermath before celebrating the final liberation of Normandy.
Joining the band will be Sally Holliday aka 'Blitz Time Sally' who's sultry jazz style promises to transport you back to the 1940s.
An evocative programme of music awaits, performed by one of the finest brass bands around!
