About Us
Twist Me A Yarn
What: A free hands-on making workshop led by artist Anna Chrystal Stephens using waste salvaged from the big beach clean the evening before.
Have a go at making hand-twisted cordage and twine with thin plastics, as well as creating other sculptural objects out of waste materials. All whilst having a cuppa tea and a chat about ways in which we can recycle, reuse and rethink what we can do with waste materials and rubbish.
When: Saturday 22nd July 12 - 3.30pm - drop-in, suitable for all ages
Where: Artspace, High St, Weston super Mare
Details: Artist Anna Chrystal Stephens is gathering waste materials that will be used alongside other found, recycled and repurposed items and reconstituted waste plastics to create new sculptural, and woven, garment-like artworks for display along the seafront during the Promenade weekender 15-17 September 2023.
PROMENADE is a new arts project for Weston super Mare, that explores place, environment & the natural world.
