About Us
Every year at Hestercombe, the Gardens team make sacks of charcoal using traditional methods, hundreds of years old.Join them on Wednesday 2nd June throughout the day and into the evening (for our first Summer Late Opening) for complimentary marshmallows to toast, the opportunity to do some charcoal rubbings, and delicious barbecue food from the chefs (evening only).
In conjunction with Hestercombe Gallery, artists will be on hand all day to help families make charcoal drawings and take part in other fun activities!
PLUS: the Charcoal Burner's Camp is next to our brand new play area in the Landscape Garden ~ great for kids.
