About Us
Come and learn about the Saxons and Vikings in another hands-on and interactive session, with a mixture of handling objects, craft activities and dressing up. Learn about how the Saxons and Vikings fought, handle some trading objects, make your own rune-stick and dress up as a Saxon or Viking.
This session is an adaptation of the learning session currently offered to schools, about which you can find out more here http://westonmuseum.org/blog/arrange-a-school-visit/.
The standard sessions are aimed primarily at 7-11 year olds/Key stage 2, but this session will be welcoming a slightly wider range of around 5-12 year olds.
The session is £5 per child. It incorporates a break of 30 minutes in the middle to stop for lunch, why not try our lovely café, which has a children’s special sandcastle offer (not included). Pre-booking is essential for this session and needs to be made before Monday 6th November, as numbers are limited; you can book and pay for a place at the museum’s main reception from Monday 18th September.
