About Us
During Living History, you will have the chance to meet reenactors, who will show how life was during the Second World War, with the opportunity to meet some German troops as well as British troops. The café will be offering a selection of WW2 themed ration recipes and the shop has some vintage style souvenirs and gifts.
Kids can also have a go at some transport themed sand art, alongside some WW2 themed craft activities in the Learning Space, with pieces ranging from planes, to trains and tanks. The craft activities will include colouring in, alongside some activities and games that would've been played during the war. These activities will take place on the Tuesday and Thursday between 10am and 2pm.
There is the chance to share your family's short stories and photographs from the Second World War; do you have any family stories or memories that could add to our display? Email sophie.sanford@wsm-tc.gov.uk for more information (please note, items must be 2D and be copies not originals).
The museum is free entry all year round. This event will take place in our lovely covered courtyard area, and you do not need to book for this event, but some activities taking place in the Learning Space will have a small charge.
