About Us
Under the theme Creativity Unwrapped, the Blakehay Theatre will be opening its doors for a day of access all areas for Heritage Open Days; with a rare chance to see what happens behind the scenes…
Explore all three of our varied and versatile spaces and more with a guided backstage tour – Main House, Studio Theatre and the Theatre Bar.
These will be running intermittently throughout the day:
10.30am | 12pm midday | 1pm | 2pm | 3pm
Learn about the history of the building itself and the theatre with talks delivered by local historian John Crockford-Hawley:
11.15am | 2.30pm
Our weekly studio classes teachers will be putting on special classes/workshops that you can observe/taster for free. These include Musical Theatre Jazz, Contemporary and Belly Dance.
Please see the individual events for these for further information and timings on either our website or Facebook page.
#SupportLocal – meet and chat to companies coming in 2023 or even 2024 in the foyer and Theatre Bar about their upcoming shows and events.
Find out about volunteer opportunities at the theatre by coming and having a chat to our Volunteer Supervisor!
Amongst all the happenings, the Box Office will be open for further information or for you to purchase tickets.
The Theatre Bar will also be open for the duration for refreshments.
This is a free event - pop along anytime between 10am and 4pm.
