About Us
Visit the 'UK's Most Festive Pub' and see its dazzling Christmas Lights display - including a 26ft tall snowman made out of empty wine bottles!
The Queen Victoria in Priddy is dubbed one of the most festive pubs in the world and has outshone itself again with 55,000 lights illuminating a giant snowman made out of 2,500 of the pub's empty wine bottles and a 16ft Christmas tree also crafted out of more than 1,000 empty wine bottles.
Every year people travel from far and wide to see the decorations at the pub which was has previously been voted among the best 10 Christmas displays in the world.
Landlord Mark Walton and his wife Debs start planning each year's display as soon as the old one is taken down.
You can see the Queen Victoria's 2024 display from 4pm until 9pm daily until New Year's Eve. The lights will not be on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The illuminations are to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), a cause the pub has now raised more than £25,000 for. Visitors can make a donation at the pub.
Priddy itself is a delightful village in the Mendip Hills with excellent walks and the pub is a charming picture-postcard village pub both inside and out. So, why not grab your hiking boots during the day and head to the pub in the late afternoon to see the lights with some warming mulled win and maybe grab a meal from the pub's tempting menu.
