After re-opening from the Covid-19 pandemic, a film was created by local filmmaker, Sally Low, showcasing 14 independents as part of the ‘Welcome back to your High Street’ campaign, funded by the ERDF. Weston-super-Mare High Street is easily accessed from Weston seafront and from the train station. It is on level ground and pedestrianised, so it's easy for everyone to get about and enjoy everything on offer. You will find a selection of both independent retailers, such as Walker & Ling, alongside High Street names and cafes.

The covered Sovereign shopping centre can be accessed both from the High Street and the town square. It offers some of the top named brands at affordable prices, and is a great Weston-super-Mare shopping experience, especially on a rainy day. Be sure to watch the clock though, as on the hour it does a fantastic display that delights both young and old. In their multi-storey car park, which is accessed from the main road running alongside the sea, there's 'Early Bird’ parking specifically aimed at people working or commuting to Weston town centre. If you park before 9.00am and leave before 6.00pm then the maximum tariff is £3.00.
For a more independent Weston-super-Mare shopping experience, there are several independent shopping districts including Orchard Meadows where you will find an eclectic collection of independent shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and entertainment venues.
Grove Village is home to The Blakehay Theatre and The Playhouse Theatre with St. James Street, just a short stroll from the seafront, boasting superb restaurants and some of the shops that have relocated from the former Dolphin Square development.
Fashion, florists, pet shops, jewellery, home furnishings, crafts & hobbies, hair salons, gaming and technology shops – there's lots to discover in Weston town centre for everyone!
