About Us

Bring your noisiest pots and pans to bang to scare away those evil spirits, and join in the merriment at Tyntesfield House as we bless our apple trees for a fruitful harvest in the autumn.

Singing and dancing will be encouraged by our Bristol based troop of Morris dancers.

This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the National Trust venue.

Time: Sat 27 January 2024 from 13:30 - 14:30

Suitable for children

The ceremony will commence at the front of the house. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring pots, pans, drums and shakers. Natural head crowns and masks are also encouraged.

The route to the Orchard is step free.

Cider and bread will be handled by the ceremony leader as part of this event.
