Older Person's Information Day

About Us

It's back for a third year! Our Older Person's Information Day was a huge success last year, and we are hoping to make this bigger and better this year!

If you didn't get to hear about our event last year, it is a FREE to attend event for the older individuals in our community who are looking for information, advice, services and products to help make their lives easier and enable them to be happy and healthy, living independently in their own homes. Previously we have held this event in September, but after considering feedback from the exhibitors we have decided to move it to July as an attempt to get the better weather!

Last year we had around 20 local and national companies come and exhibit their services, and we are so pleased to have had a similar level of interest from exhibitors this year as well. Companies attending this year include: Wiltshire Farm Foods Bristol, The Good Care Group South West, Contact the Elderly UK, North Somerset Health Trainers, Age UK Somerset, Alzheimer's Society - South West England, Greenslades Opticians, PLUS MANY MORE TO BE CONFIRMED! We will also be displaying posters from local friendship, support and hobby groups to advertise what is around in the area.

Last year we had a Macmillan Coffee Morning fundraiser at the event as these happen in September, but this year as the event is in July we will be putting on a Picnic For Parkinson's! (In aid of Parkinson's UK Garden Gathering summer fundraiser). There will be picnic buffet style snacks and beverages served on the terrace at Hope Church - hopefully in the sunshine! Donations required to eat, all proceeds go to Parkinson's UK.

The event will be on Thursday 11th July, 10am – 1pm at the Hope Church just off Worle High Street. The Mayor and Mayoress will also be attending to open the event. Please call 01934 526892 for more info, or message us through Facebook.
