About Us
We welcome you to Clevedon's Third Annual Literary Festival. MORE THAN WORDS – talks, discussions, workshops, demonstrations, cinema and theatre, performances, exhibitions will be taking place throughout our beautiful town on the edge of the Severn Estuary, sharing the space with our beaches and bays, our Marine Lake and Victorian Pier, our sunsets and our many independent shops.MORE THAN WORDS is presented by the Festival Community Interest Company. We seek to represent and promote diversity and difference through words scribed, spoken and sung, through music and creative arts & crafts. And we are working towards offering a Festival that is fully accessible to all. This programme tells you what's on, where and when. We hope that there will be something that interests or intrigues you, whether a child or an older person. Our intention is that participating in our many events will make you feel good, some stimulating, others provocative, all providing opportunities to see things in a different light. And we plan for pleasure and fun!
The Festival depends on you, people of Clevedon, and visitors from further afield, and on those contributing to and participating in events, and taking the stage in performance arenas. We are deeply appreciative of all those who have voluntarily given us so much of their time to help organise the many aspects of the Festival. And we are immensely grateful to those who have had enough confidence in us to provide necessary funding through grants, sponsorships and donations. We thank you all.
