About Us
Step back in time at the Weston Helicopter Museum Military History Weekend.
Visit the WWII encampment which is brought to life by re-enactors. Experience the sights and sounds of live tank firing on both days and see military vehicles.
Military History Weekend 2025 at The Helicopter Museum in Weston-super-Mare will see the land surrounding Weston Airfield's restored WW2 era Control Tower and Pilots Block brought to life by re-enactors, living history camps and historic military vehicles from around the country on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April.
However, two exciting new exhibitors have just been announced for the Saturday with a Sea King from Historic Helicopters and a Gazelle from The Gazelle Squadron now flying in to the show.
Both aircraft will be arriving on the morning of the 26th and their crews will be on hand to talk to visitors and give them a close up look at these two iconic aircraft throughout the day.
Also taking place over the course of the weekend will be a live performance of 1940’s Wartime music, tank driving and firing demonstrations, talks and live firing displays comparing Allied and Axis weaponry and a host of vehicles and helicopters to explore.
Highlights of the Living History Encampment will be the German Command Post and Field Kitchen, The British Marching Camp and the Motorbike and Sidecar display.
The Helicopter Museum (Registered Charity no 281053) is home to the largest collection of helicopters in the World. The Military History Weekend is the charity's main fund-raising event of the year.
