About Us
The Start
This year’s event will start at Sanders (Wyevale) Garden Centre, located on the A38, about half a mile or so north of Junction 22 of the M5. There will be adequate parking for spectators wanting to watch the cars leave the start.
The cars will start arriving to park up from around 08-30am, with the first car waved off from the start at 09-30. The rest of the 160 cars will then leave in age order at approximately 30 second intervals.
The Lunch Stop
Haynes Motor Museum, at Sparkford near Yeovil is the location for the lunchtime stop. Located just off the A303, it provides a wonderful location for the break. Parking will be limited, as the Mendip Tour has been exclusively allocated the grass parking area towards the rear of the museum.
The cars should start arriving at Haynes from about 11-45am, and then start to depart for the finish from around 1-15pm.
The Finish
As usual, the Mendip Tour will conclude with a fantastic static display on The Cathedral Green in Wells.
Only those taking part in the Tour and officials will be allowed onto the Green, and the approach road to the Green (St Andrews Street) will be closed to non-event traffic.
Parking is available just outside the centre of the city. Spectators are welcome to view the wonderful Classic vehicles and chat to the drivers.
The cars will be arriving at the finish from about 2-00pm, with trophies and prizes awarded at about 4-00pm. It will be a great day out for all the family.
