The ‘Made in North Somerset’ festival, now in its fourth year, takes place every autumn and is co-ordinated by the Economic Development Service at North Somerset Council. The primary aim of the festival is to showcase the host of high quality producers we have in North Somerset from the artisan to those now exporting worldwide and everything in between.
'Meet the maker' events take place at venues across North Somerset during the the three-week festival and offer a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes and see just what goes into making some of these fantastic products. Events include: cookery and craft workshops; demonstrations; brewery, orchard and vineyard tours; farm open days; apple pressing, wild foraging walks and tasting evenings. Businesses will be opening up their doors for you to see behind the scenes, so do take advantage of this great opportunity to find out more about the businesses on your doorstep. We hope you'll enjoy the experience so much that you will go on to buy some of these products and support these local producers and the local economy throughout the year.

A pull out programme will also feature in September's edition of North Somerset Life which goes through the door of every North Somerset household so do keep a look out for it.
