About Us

Sand Bay Retreat is a dog-friendly getaway just a short stroll away from an unspoilt beach which is popular with dog lovers and well-known for its spectacular sunsets.

The recently built annex makes an ideal base from which to explore North Somerset and its many attractions or you can simply pick up your dog’s lead and stroll outside the front door to enjoy glorious walks. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can spend some down-time in the homely bungalow’s secure rear garden where seating, sun loungers and a table are provided.

Inside, the self-catering accommodation has plenty of mod-cons and sleeps four adults in two bedrooms: one with twin beds and the other a king size. It has gas central heating and a shower room.

The new kitchen, which flows through to the bright and airy open plan lounge/dining area is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, large fridge/freezer, built in microwave plus all the usual implements. However, if you fancy a night off from cooking there are pubs, a restaurant and a takeaway all within a reasonable distance.

The lounge’s vaulted ceiling and large skylights provide plenty of natural light. There is a 40inch Smart TV, DVD player, free Wi-Fi and a large corner sofa for that cosy night in.

There is also off road parking.

Sand Bay is often referred to as Weston-super-Mare’s hidden gem with spectacular walks to Sand Point and, in the opposite direction, through the woods to the bustling resort of Weston, just a few miles along the coast road.

A regular bus service, where dogs can travel as well, connects Sand Bay and Weston-super-Mare and the upper deck is often open-top to enable you to enjoy the views of the bay and out to Wales.
