About Us

There are several EV charging points in the town and the North Somerset area allowing electric car drivers the opportunity to enjoy a trip to Weston-super-Mare without having to worry that they don't have enough juice to get back.

North Somerset Council operates several charging points, including two very close to the seafront, which means that you can enjoy the attractions of Weston-super-Mare without having to go out of your way looking for enough energy to get you back home.

There are five fast connections in the Carlton Street Car Park at 12 Carlton St, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1UA.

And there are four fast connections at the seafront, Melrose Car Park at 30 Knightstone Rd, Weston-super-Mare BS23 2AW.

Just a short distance out of town, and heading towards the M5 motorway, there are eight fast connections at Worle Railway Station (Diamond Batch), BS24 7EP

There are also two fast connections located at The Campus, Highlands Lane, Weston-Super-Mare, BS24 7DX.

Just yards from the rural Sand Bay beach, there's a 22kW fast charger with two charging bays at the Sand Road car park which for Sat Nav users is BS22 9UE.

Slightly further afield, NSC also has two rapid connections at Portishead Marina. Situated at Portishead’s Parish Wharf Leisure Centre, Harbour Road, Woodhill Avenue, Portishead, BS20 7DD, the site has two rapid chargers (50kW) and four charging bays, allowing drivers to charge their EVs in just 30 to 60 minutes.

Nailsea and Backwell train station at West Town, Nailsea,  BS48 3LH has six fast charging units while, also in Nailsea, the Scotch Horn Leisure Centre car park, BS48 1BZ, has two fast connectors all supplied by NSC.

For motorway drivers, the M5 Gordano Services at Junction 19, north of Weston-super-Mare, has standard and Blue Badge charging points while, heading South, there are four devices and six connectors available at Sedgemoor Services, BS26 2UF, which is the first southbound services after Weston-super-Mare. If you're heading north, from the south west towards Weston-super-Mare, there are two devices and six connectors.
